KSU and Ale-8-One launch limited-edition "Pawpaw Ale-8" soda coming this August

FRANKFORT, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — A sweet Kentucky collaboration is brewing — literally!

Kentucky State University and Ale-8-One have announced a limited-edition soda: Pawpaw Ale-8, featuring the tropical, banana-like taste of Kentucky’s native fruit, often called the “Kentucky banana.”

The flavor was created using research from KSU’s world-renowned Pawpaw Program — the only one of its kind in the world.

Fans won’t have to wait long to try it: Pawpaw Ale-8 will hit store shelves this August, just in time for the final weeks of summer.
