"No Kings" rally scheduled in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Authorities in Lexington are preparing for possible protests tied to this weekend’s military parade, as part of a nationwide demonstration effort called “No Kings Day.”

According to organizers with the Bluegrass Activist Alliance, a local rally is planned for Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. outside the Robert F. Stephens Courthouse on North Limestone.

Others in the area are scheduled in Morehead, Jackson, Hazard and Danville.

Similar protests are expected in cities across the country.
