Social Media Intern (Unpaid)


Location: Remote


Commitment: 10 Hours Per Week


Term: July 1 to December 31, 2025


The National Deer Association is seeking a creative and motivated Social Media Intern to help grow our online reach and engage with the deer-hunting and conservation community. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in outdoor communications, content creation, and social media management.


Responsibilities:



  • Assist in creating, scheduling, and publishing content across social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, Threads, Twitter)

  • Engage with our online community by responding to questions and comments.

  • Suggest and contribute new content ideas, including graphics, videos, and written posts.

  • Align social media strategies with NDA mission goals.


Requirements:



  • Passion for social media and content creation.

  • Strong written communication and storytelling skills.

  • Demonstrable experience and skill with multiple social media platforms, including written posts and short videos.

  • Knowledge of deer hunting, wildlife conservation, science communication, and the outdoors.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or other design tools is a plus.

  • Pursuing a degree or career in journalism, communications, wildlife biology, or related fields.
