Publix sets grand opening date for second Lexington store

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — Publix is expanding its footprint in Lexington with the opening of a second grocery store next month.

The new location is set to open Wednesday, June 4 at 7 a.m. at The Fountains at Palomar on Fountain Blue Lane. Publix says the store will employ about 140 workers.

This will be the supermarket chain’s second store in the city. The first Lexington Publix opened in March on Stockton Way, off Citation Boulevard.
