Teen due in court for drive-by shooting case




LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – One of two brothers accused in a drive-by shooting that killed a mother of four is scheduled to appear in court Monday.


Kevin Marquez Chavez, 18, is set for an arraignment Monday afternoon. His brother, 21-year-old Brian Marquez Chavez, is scheduled for a court appearance on January 2.


The brothers were arrested earlier this month in Florida and extradited back to Lexington last week. Police allege the pair was involved in the fatal shooting.


Further details on the case are expected during the court proceedings.
