However, if you lack reliable cellular coverage and still want to use cameras without spending too much, what alternatives are available? I often ask these same questions when evaluating traditional trail cameras because I want the best quality at a reasonable price. When the SpyPoint Force 24 camera was released, I was amazed by its price and the features it offered. Was the camera worth the $49.99 price tag? Would it perform as expected? I decided to purchase one and share my thoughts on its performance.

 

 

SpyPoint Force 24 Camera

The SpyPoint Force 24 camera operates on 8 AA batteries and can also be powered by a solar panel. It features a 24-megapixel camera, capable of capturing 2K video with sound and high-quality photos. The camera has a trigger speed of 0.5 seconds and a detection and flash range of up to 70 feet. Inside the camera, there is a 1.5-inch screen that makes setup and programming easy. A standard SD card is required for the Force 24; I recommend using a 128 GB card while running the camera in 1-minute video mode.

 

 

Bell and Whistles

I was surprised to discover some impressive features while exploring the settings. The Force 24 includes Infrared Boost Technology, Low Glow LED mode, Continuous Mode, Time-Lapse Mode, and Time-Lapse Plus Mode. These features provide hunters with a wide range of options for customizing how the camera operates. I couldn’t believe the variety of options available in a camera priced at just $49.99.

 

 

Force 24 Pictures

The Force 24 camera features a 24-megapixel resolution. Initially, I was concerned that the low resolution would result in poor-quality pictures, but I may have misjudged it since the images still look fantastic. One of the best features of this camera is the Multi-Shot mode, which can capture up to five photos in quick succession. I also appreciate the timestamp displayed at the bottom of each photo, which includes the date, time, and temperature in both Fahrenheit and Celsius. The images taken by the Force 24 are clear and detailed, and using the photo mode doesn’t significantly drain the battery. Overall, I am very impressed with the camera’s photo-taking capabilities.

 

 

Video Mode at Night

I am thoroughly impressed with the night video mode. After transferring the videos from the camera card to my computer, I adjusted the Infrared Boost Technology to see if it would enhance the quality of the night recordings. The Force 24 captured a quick 20-second clip of a buck interacting with branches at a community scrape. The camera was positioned just five yards from the scrape, and as you can see, the deer seemed completely unbothered by its presence. I might consider extending the video to capture more of the deer visiting the scrape.

 

 

Daytime Video

The Force 24 captures incredible daytime videos. I set the camera to one-minute video mode to test its capabilities, and I was genuinely impressed. The 2K video quality delivers sharp, detailed images and vibrant colors that exceed my expectations. If you watch the video closely, you can even see raindrops. The buck interacted with several licking branches at the community scrape and then proceeded to rub-urinate in the scrape. Overall, the 2K video quality from the Force 24 is absolutely worth the $49.99 price.

 

 

3rd Man In

I was overall impressed with the Force 24 video. The trigger speed captured two deer fighting in the distance, while a third deer entered the scene. You can clearly see the two deer fighting and hear their antlers crash together. The third deer joined the fight after the first two stopped. Even though the deer were near the edge of the camera’s range, it was still possible to see that the bucks were fighting, and the sound of their antlers colliding was audible.

The SpyPoint Force 24 non-cellular trail camera exceeded my expectations! With numerous features packed into this camera, the $49.99 price feels like a steal. I highly recommend this camera to anyone searching for a reliable base model. The battery life is impressive, and the memory card fills up quickly with outstanding captures.
