Frankfort Water Treatment Plant asking residents to conserve water

FRANKFORT, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — The Frankfort Plant Board Water Treatment Plant announced the water levels have risen to a level that can impact the electrical equipment used to pump water from the river.

Officials say they’ve turned off the equipment at this time and are asking all customers to ration their water usage.

According to the plant, the water storage tanks are currently full.

Officials say turning the equipment back on will depend on how high the river crests.
