LONDON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office is warning drivers about hazardous road conditions after ice and snow covered the area on Sunday.

Deputies say numerous crashes were reported on I-75 due to the slick conditions. Sheriff’s deputies assisted stranded drivers throughout the day.

Officials are urging motorists to use caution while traveling in the area as freezing temperatures continue to create dangerous road conditions. Drivers are encouraged to stay off the roads if possible until conditions improve.
