Boyle County fire kills nearly 100 farm animals, investigation ongoing




BOYLE COUNTY, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — The Boyle County Fire Department is investigating a fire early Thursday morning that killed nearly 100 chickens and other animals at a farm on Gentry Lane.


Officials say they received a call reporting the fire early in the morning. When crews arrived, the building was fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze, and no injuries to firefighters or residents were reported.


The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
