🧟 MEET YOUR PET ZOMBIE 🧟
Your very own undead companion — lurking on every page of TriState Survival

🌎 Welcome to the Apocalypse — Now With Pets!

Ever feel like browsing the forum is a little... too alive? Well, we fixed that. Tucked into the corner of every page is your very own Pet Zombie — a shuffling, moaning, glowing-eyed undead companion who wanders the site with you, needs your attention, and will absolutely fall apart if you ignore him long enough.

He's not decorative. He has needs. He gets hungry. He gets bored. He loses his mind if you leave him alone too long. And he will judge you silently with those glowing cyan eyes.

Think of it as a Tamagotchi — except it's a zombie, it's on a post-apocalyptic survival forum, and it might be carrying a crossbow. 🏹

🔘 STEP 1 — ACTIVATE YOUR ZOMBIE

When you first log in, look for a small button in the bottom-left corner of your screen:

Click it once and your zombie springs to life — shuffling, wandering, and moaning across whatever page you're on. 🧟

Don't want him around right now? No problem. You can hide him any time and bring him back whenever you like. He'll remember everything — his name, his outfit, his stats — all saved to your account.

🎮 STEP 2 — MEET YOUR ZOMBIE

Once activated, your zombie wanders the page on his own. Hover your mouse over him to freeze him in place and pop up the control bar:

You'll see a row of action buttons and a Hide button on the right. Every icon does something — covered in full below. You can also right-click him at any time to open the full MY ZOMBIE control panel.

⚙️ STEP 3 — CUSTOMIZE YOUR ZOMBIE

Right-click your zombie (or click the ⚙️ gear icon in the hover bar) to open the full panel:

His Name: Give your zombie a name up to 16 characters. It shows above him on screen and on his snapshot card. Click away from the name field to save it.

Skin Decay Level: Eight shades of undead flesh — from blue-grey lab corpse to swamp rot green. Click any swatch to change his skin tone instantly.

Outfit — 9 choices:
  • 🥼 Torn Lab Coat — the classic undead scientist, complete with name badge and belt
  • 🩺 Bloody Scrubs — whatever happened in that operating room, it wasn't good
  • 🪖 Tactical Gear — this one was clearly prepared for the end
  • 🧥 Leather Jacket — apocalypse biker chic
  • 🏕 Survivor Gear — patched-up, practical, still shambling
  • 👕 Tattered Rags — the original zombie look
  • 🩸 Bloody Rags — things went badly
  • 🌙 Nightgown — got bit in the middle of the night, apparently
  • ☢️ Hazmat Suit — ironic given the circumstances

Weapon — 9 options:
  • 🔪 Busted Machete
  • 🪓 Splitting Axe
  • 🔫 Machine Gun
  • 🏹 Crossbow
  • 🔧 Rusty Pipe
  • 🦴 Bone Club
  • 🪠 Plunger of Doom
  • 🍳 Brain Spatula
  • ✋ Empty Handed

Hair — 6 styles:
  • ✂️ Buzz Cut
  • 💀 Bald
  • 🌿 Long Matted
  • 😵 Messy
  • ⚡ Mohawk
  • 🎀 Pigtails

All changes save automatically. Next time you visit, your zombie remembers everything exactly as you left him. 💾

🧠 STEP 4 — KEEP HIM ALIVE (WELL... MORE ALIVE)

Your zombie has 5 needs that slowly build up over hours. Ignore them long enough and he'll start complaining. Each need shows as a color-coded meter glowing under his name tag:

🧠 Hunger — Goes from hungry to full-on HANGRY. Fix it: Feed
🩸 Thirst — Gets thirsty, starts dragging. Fix it: Give Blood
⚡ Energy — Stumbles around exhausted. Fix it: Put to Sleep
🐕 Boredom — Gets antsy and restless. Fix it: Throw Ball or Release Dog
💊 Sanity — Goes full CRAZY — shaking, red eyes, gibberish. Fix it: Give Meds

Needs build slowly — we're talking hours, not minutes. You don't need to babysit him constantly. But go a full day without checking in and he's gonna let you know. 😬

He also sleeps! Between 11 PM and 7 AM he'll automatically tuck himself in and snooze. Don't disturb him — he needs his rest. 💤

🎯 STEP 5 — ALL THE THINGS YOU CAN DO

Here's every action available from the hover bar and control panel:

🧠 Feed
Toss him some brains. Resets his hunger meter and triggers a happy fed animation. Do this regularly or he escalates from hungry to hangry — and nobody wants a hangry zombie.

🩸 Give Blood
Every zombie needs his blood. Resets his thirst meter. He'll moan appreciatively.

🤚 Pet Your Zombie
Give him a little pat. He leans in, makes a contented noise, and his sanity improves slightly. Zombies need affection too.

😴 Put to Sleep
Manually tuck him in for a nap. He recharges his energy and wakes up refreshed. Great when he's stumbling around looking exhausted.

💊 Give Meds (Sanity)
When his eyes start glowing red and he's shaking and muttering nonsense — it's meds time. His eyes flash purple, sanity resets instantly. Crisis averted.

🎯 Throw Ball
Hurl a ball across the screen and watch him chase it down. He'll fetch it and bring it back with tremendous zombie dignity. Cures boredom instantly.

🐕 Release Dog
Unleash an animated dog that will chase your zombie around the screen. Your zombie will flee in absolute terror. Hilarious. Also cures boredom.

📸 Snapshot
Opens a stat card showing your zombie's name, current look, age, and lifetime stats. See the next section!

🔄 Reset
Wipes all stats and resets to defaults. There's a confirmation prompt — but once it's done, it's done.

👁 Hide My Zombie
Makes him disappear from the screen. The small ◈ ZOMBIE [click to activate] button stays in the bottom-left corner so you can bring him back any time.

❓ FAQ

Does my zombie affect the forum or other members?
Nope — he's yours alone. Other members have their own zombies and you'll never see each other's.

Will he be there if I log in on a different device?
Yes! Everything is saved to your account. Log in anywhere and he picks up exactly where he left off.

What if I don't want a zombie at all?
Just don't click the activate button. The little ◈ ZOMBIE button sits quietly in the corner and never bothers you. Or activate him, then hide him — he'll stay hidden until you decide otherwise.

Can I reset and start fresh?
Yes — the Reset button in the control panel wipes everything. You'll get a confirmation prompt first.

Why is he shaking with red eyes?
He's lost his mind. Hit 💊 Give Meds immediately. This is what happens when you ignore him for too long. You did this.

🧟 Now get out there, name your zombie, arm him with something ridiculous, and keep him from going completely insane. 🧟
