Two arrested in separate Pulaski County traffic stops; drugs and firearms seized

PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Two men are facing multiple charges after separate Pulaski County traffic stops led to significant drug seizures.

According to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, deputies stopped 51-year-old Sean Campbell of Liberty on Monday along the Cumberland Parkway. A search turned up more than 100 grams of methamphetamine, liquid methadone, drug paraphernalia, and a loaded firearm.

On Tuesday night, deputies stopped 56-year-old Calvin Carrender of Bronston on Highway 790. Authorities say a K-9 alerted during the stop, leading to the discovery of 50 grams of methamphetamine and Suboxone.

Both men were arrested and are facing multiple drug trafficking charges. Investigators say additional charges could follow as the cases move forward.

The sheriff’s office encourages anyone with information on drug activity to contact their tip line. Callers may remain anonymous.
